How to add chapters and captions to a video
Let people jump to the best parts, read along, and download the video.
You need to be signed in to do this.

Open the video and click Chapters & captions.

Under Chapters, type one per line: a time, then a name, for example "4:30 Opening presents". Click Save chapters.
Tip: The chapters appear under the player; clicking one jumps there.

Under Captions, choose a captions file (.vtt or .srt) and click Upload captions. Search finds the words in them too.

Under Downloads, tick the box to let everyone who can watch the video download it, and click Save.

Smaller copy for phones shows whether a quicker 720p copy exists. It's normally made overnight; Make it now makes it straight away.
